Meet TeeCee Cribb

Today we’d like to introduce you to TeeCee Cribb.

Hi TeeCee, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out back in the ’90s as a publicist. It was fun, but eventually, I realized that was not the path I wanted anymore. I always had this nudge inside that my purpose in life is to motivate, uplift, inspire, elevate, and spread love. I continued to suppress and ignore this feeling, but always somehow it would find a way to emerge in my soul and I could never really shake it. Fast forward a little bit, I went to work overseas for 6 1/2 years in Afghanistan as a contractor. When I returned, I dabbled in a few things but somehow ended dipping my feet back in the water of publicity. Everyone would say you’re a publicist at heart. Again, it was great, but I was feeling my purpose being fulfilled. I enjoyed mentoring and giving advice to the people who would want to hire me on as a publicist, not trying to get media placement or the various roles of a publicist.

During COVID and the shutdown of our world, I would attend conferences online which were mostly faith-based, motivational and/or women empowerment. While doing these online events and hanging out on the clubhouse, I realized I also did a lot of talking to people about their faith. What I saw was a shift. I also saw many religions and faiths disconnected people. I even saw people who truly had faith but just couldn’t find their place in the faith-based world. There was church hurt, there was religion and faith bashing or misunderstanding, judging, and there was just those who simply had no belief. Something in my spirit needed to understand why and what was happening around me. I was attending one of the conferences online that was faith-based coupled with women empowerment and the virtual attendees were chatting amongst one another. We bonded over a course of two days. So, we decided we wanted to continue these new relationships after the conference, so we created a group.

Meanwhile, I was planning to launch a talk show that would showcase the BIPOC community, indie talent, celebrities, and business owners. While hanging out on the clubhouse, I saw so many levels of talent and I felt the world needed to see it in a different light. But, one day in our group from the conference, I mentioned I wanted to read the Bible in its entirety and I didn’t want to wait until the beginning of the year. Several of the ladies stated they would love to do it with me, so we started a weekly fellowship, and I would lead it. After hearing the ladies’ stories, I wanted to be sure we discussed what we were reading and have a safe place/space for them to share their thoughts and feelings. As I heard these stories, I began to feel it wasn’t the original talk show I needed to start. I immediately called one of my friends to discuss this. He was like, Tee you must do what’s in your spirit. From this For UNITEE (United * Never Failing * Inclusive * Totally Embraces Everyone) was started.

It was of extreme importance to create a platform showcasing to the world how faith-based cultures, mainstream communities and even non-believers can unite as one.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with anything, there are ups and downs. We have things that go smoothly, but you have your challenges. Often, people see faith-based and a wall comes up and others see or hear mainstream/secular, so they feel… mmmmm that’s not for me. Once I explain the concept, the walls come down, and they understand and often want to be a part of the show. On the flip side, many hear about it and are like wowwwww that really is needed.

Now, my new challenge is getting sponsorships and support to host the various empowering events. We’re in a time where people are hurting on many levels. It’s a necessity to host affordable events that will uplift, motivate, empower, and help others discover their purpose and place in the world we’re in. Final challenge is truly getting myself before people as a Personality to allow me the opportunity to host other events, as well as being a part of intimate sessions for workshops and conferences.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Multi-Media Talk Show Host

For UNITEE with TeeCee Talk Show

I am passionate about changing the narrative around entertainment and faith by bringing entertainers, creatives, motivational speakers, and entrepreneurs on the platform to share their stories and talent which can have a positive impact on viewers. But, not even stopping there. It’s important to me to showcase the lives, perceptions, and ideas of the everyday person.

Morning Love with TeeCee Show on New Praise Radio with my Co-Host Aurielle Walton.

Rise, Shine & Thrive with me and Aurielle every Saturday morning from 8-11am EST on newpraiseradio.com for your Saturday Morning Praise Party Spreading God’s Love. That’s right ya’ll we’re bringing you affirmations, traditional gospel, R&P, Inspirational, Christian & Gospel Hip-Hip, interviews, industry updates, conversations, fashion and more! It’s definitely a praise party you don’t want to miss.

On both of my shows, I want people to be comfortable in their skin and know they don’t have to look or fall into any category to have faith. None of us are perfect and no one has a right to condemn, judge or categorize anyone. Every person out here is special and we also have to be humble.

I am known for fellowshipping with people from all walks of life and meeting each individual where they are without judgment but with love and respect. I say fellowshipping because when two or more people get together having a conversation, laughing and vibe … that’s fellowship. I also think this is something that sets me apart. We can show God’s love, grace, mercy, and light without being preachy; it will shine through our actions and walk in this journey of life.

Hosting a Weekly Fellowship
Building faith, knowledge and wisdom by providing a space women can come together to share thoughts, ideas, perceptions and feel safe. Having discussions to broaden our awareness and understanding of others who may have beliefs that may not look like our own. In addition, utilizing the platform to discuss everyday life, empower, encourage, uplift, inspire and stretch one another. Not putting so much emphasis on the religion component and focusing on the relationship.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Stepping out and doing things while scared, unsure and on faith. And I most certainly have taken major risks. What I’m doing now is a major risk because I do not know the outcome. Plus, what I recognize is my purpose and mission isn’t about me, it’s about bringing change and is so much larger than me. This is the thing, no matter if what I’m doing is accepted, I fail, I fall or stumble… I must brush myself off, assess and try try try again. Also, understanding that people may not understand and what you’re doing may not look like what others think it should look, but being secure in what has been placed inside of you to do and getting out here to do it.
