Meet Terica Nathan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terica Nathan.

Hi Terica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I became interested in becoming a realtor after talking to one of my best friend’s twin sisters, who are agents. I started this journey while going through a divorce in 2016, I passed my real estate class, but never took my state test. Fast forward to 2020, I was drained at my corporate career, I wanted a change. I decided to enroll in a real estate class with my real estate school, I passed my class and the state test was up next!

I was so determined to take my test, I had to drive 3 hours to Mobile because the Birmingham location was closed due to COVID-19. My test was at 6:00am, it took me two hours to complete the test. I passed, could you imagine how that drive would’ve been if I fail. It was definitely ALL GOD! I’m so thankful! Being a realtor being brings me happiness, seeing the joy it brings to people, is so rewarding. Everyone deserves to be a homeowner! I wanted to be able to educate buyers and sellers on the home buying process and make it a smooth, easy, and exciting experience. This career has been so rewarding, I love reflecting back on client’s conversations leading to closing day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The challenge I’m facing in this market is housing shortages with multiple buyers. Most listings have serval offers submitted on it and the seller is expecting the highest and best offer submitted. Due to Covid19, I’ve experienced many delays on building materials and a shortage on workers.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My first year in Real Estate was awesome🥳

Whew… Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed aren’t even.
the words to describe how I feel about my first year in real estate 🙌🏽!
You guys, I remember telling my mentor my goal was to sell ONLY five houses this year!! With me working a full-time job up until October, I SURPASSED it!!
God said, aht aht!! Let your FAITH be bigger than.
Your fears!! I was able to put my fear aside and quit.

My full-time job! This allowed me to sell 11 homes and close out the year with 2.6 million in volume. ^ months into 2022, I have surpassed last year’s volume. I cant wait to see what’s in store for the second half of 2022. I love helping people, it brings me so much joy to see my clients get the keys to their homes! To my clients, past, present, and future, thank you for trusting and working with me! I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported and referred me. Cheers to more homeowners and the joy it brings me being your favorite realtor! I can’t wait to see what God has for 2022! If you know anyone looking to buy or sell, please send them my way! 💕🏡🔑

Special thanks to my transaction coordinator Jamia Nelson, the lenders, title and closing company and all the agents!
