Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Herron.
Business expert and professional ballroom dancer, Terry Herron, is a true business mogul in the making. A native of Augusta, GA, Terry graduated with an International Baccalaureate degree in high school, and soon after attended Kennesaw State University with a degree in political science and mathematics. After working in human resources and the financial industry for over 10 years, he became equipped to begin building his own empire. Currently, Terry is the owner of Buckhead Loft at Level V event space- one of the most premier, upscale venues in Atlanta, Ga. The venue has hosted events for the Georgia Department of Justice, Piedmont Hospitals and an ever-growing roster of the most well-known names in the entertainment industry.
Working with internationally known talents such as The Braxtons throughout his career as a celebrity ballroom dancer, Terry has garnered the attention of many mainstream television outlets. While in undergrad, Terry became a dance instructor at the Green Room, owned by Terri J Vaughn. The Green Room was an Atlanta based company that incorporated acting, singing and dancing. He later then became a pupil of Jonathan Doone, a Fourteen-time Australian dancing champion. Under the study of Doone, Terry became fascinated with International Latin. His expertise has afforded him the opportunities to appear on national platforms including VH1s R&B Divas, WEtv’s Braxton Family Values, Disney and So You Think You Can Dance.
As a young entrepreneur, ballroom dancer and social media influencer, he is the epitome of a PathFinder. Terry was awarded the Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding work in the community.

Has it been a smooth road?
Owning a business is very difficult, but Terry was determined. With little help from family and peers, Terry struggles with many obstacles, still to this day. It isn’t that his family and peers did not want to help, they didn’t know-how. Most of the individuals around Terry had not owned businesses before and didn’t know what direction to point him in. Trial and Error has been one of Terry’s biggest teachers. He learns from the adversities and humbly accepts the gratitude of hard work. One of Terry’s goal is to create a Cliff Notes version of how to start and operate a business.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Business in the next 5-10 years will not be the same as it is today. The business industry is an ongoing evolution trend that business owners have to keep up with. Terry does plan to expand his portfolio by owning in various industries.
