Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry McGhee.
Terry, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2017, I partnered with one of my closest friends to start a Youtube Channel called “The Grēn Show”. We used this platform to do cannabis reviews, talk about sports, pop culture and music. The show went for about 16 episodes before we ran into some unforeseen circumstances forcing us to put the show on pause for a while. During the break our followers constantly asked about when we were going to come back, but we didn’t have a true answer. Not wanting to disappoint our followers, Chief Rocka started to brainstorm to figure out how he can work around our issue; podcasting came to mind. Chief Rocka watched peers launch podcast before and knew that the production could be fairly easy with the right equipment and platform. Chief Rocka knew he had a passion for good conversations and smoking marijuana and wanted to share some of those elevated conversations with his followers with that, “A Blunted Conversation” was born.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No journeys are ever linear and this podcast journey is no different. Chief Rocka was able to start A Blunted Conversation with a pair of lapel microphones and an iPhone. From equipment malfunctions to scheduling problems, locations falling through, you name it! Everything that could go wrong did, but staying consistent has always been the main goal and as long as we do that, Chief Rocka is happy.
Please tell us about A Blunted Conversation Podcast.
A Blunted Conversation is a podcast that specializes in having enlightened conversations with guests. Each episode is co-hosted by some of Jacksonville’s finest cannabis to elevate the conversation further. Chief Rocka speaks with guests from all different walks of life, from rappers to teachers. Each conversation exposes a lifestyle to the listeners that they may have never been exposed to. The idea is to expand the minds of each listener while still entertaining. A Blunted Conversation is different because it sheds light on the intellectual stoner, breaking down all stigmas of being lazy and unmotivated.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
As far as what to expect from A Blunted Conversation, expect interviews with more enlightening guests, pop-ups, live shows, tours, and much more.
