Today we’d like to introduce you to Teya Lucas.
Teya, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Meshay & Madison Events, LLC started as a hobby and bonding experience with my daughter. I would always decorate and plan baby showers, luncheons, sales contests, etc. for my office at work. While I was setting up for one of my many baby showers, someone asked me how much did I charge for my services. I could not answer because I never thought what I was doing is work. So I started putting myself out there and brought my daughter along to help. My name is Teya Meshay Lucas and my daughter’s name is Jada Madison Lucas, hence the name Meshay & Madison Events. We enjoy planning events and watching our big ideas come to life for our clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
It was smooth sailing until Covid-19 hit. However, COVID was a blessing in disguise in our case. It has allowed me to take care of the business of our business. I went to college for Mass Media, which is nowhere near Business. So I have been taking business courses, learning new event design techniques, and actually revamping our services to abide by the guidelines of social distancing.

Meshay & Madison Events, LLC is an event and party planning boutique. We provide several services such as event planning, event decor, day-of coordinator, consultation/referrals, event concierge, and even sell custom gift baskets. We are very proud of our new services, where we are planning and coordinating date night, private dinners, and events in our client’s backyard or home. What sets us apart is that we are a mother-daughter duo who is determined to make others happy. We love creating memories for our clients and their guests.

Our city is known for entrepreneurs and the home of multiple streams of income. Our city motivates people to start a business and create a legacy for their families.
