Theron and Chris, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Cabin Connoisseur in 2016 after an epiphany I had while vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a central place where Cabin Lovers and Owners alike could share their experiences? I decided to set out to make this dream a reality.
A year later we are the first company to solely list cabin rentals throughout the entire United States. Cabin Connoisseur makes it easy for cabin owners and renters to engage each other. To date, our Instagram page is at an all-time high of 25,300 followers while our Facebook is at 3,419 and counting.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been smooth. Breaking into an untapped sector made it easy for us to tap into the cabin market of the United States.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Cabin Connoisseur LLC – what should we know?
Cabin Connoisseur LLC, The Cabin place throughout the United States. We specialize in cabin rentals throughout the entire U.S. We have even signed clients up as far as Alaska & Oregon. The fact that we encompass all states is what sets us apart from other cabin companies. We only list cabins.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
We do. My uncle leads me through a few of the beginning stages of the company. He committed suicide a year ago. I always look back and remind myself that he is watching down, making sure that I keep up the hard work. My fraternity brothers, John Crossley & Randy Hooper have also lent helping hands and words of advice to me.
John’s cousin built the current website. We spent numerous months searching for a web developer. Couldn’t be happier with the choice we made. Most of all, Chris Singleton is the person that got the company to where it is now.
He holds a small percentage of the company. He and I currently handle the day-day operations of Cabin Connoisseur LLC.
