Meet Thomas White of Lawrenceville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas White.

Hi Thomas, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been an entrepreneur 25 years. In 2013 I embarked on an adventure in the health care services in industry in Missouri that was very lucrative. I thought I’d finally made it. I found a niche in public service that also rewarded my family and employees very nicely. In 2019 I was blindsided by a call from the state that they were pulling my biggest contract that was in the department of mental health. Their reasoning was “no cause”. I was lost and devastated searching for answers. My B,S, is in law enforcement. I worked as a police officer in my younger days after college but I couldn’t stand the thought of going backwards knowing the financial reward would never sustain the life I’d created. So in 2020 I embarked on a completely new journey while still running my other two companies in the Senior Services Department in Missouri. I enrolled in Massage school and graduated as a licensed Massage Therapist. Three months of clawing trying to get a foothold in this industry I realized that I needed more. I returned to School to get a license as an esthetician. Utilizing these two segments of education I began building Self Care Spas providing a number of massage modalities as well as skin care like waxing, facials, etc. I opened a spa in Kansas (across the river from Kansas City) in a small hotel. That location has become very profitable and influential. In early 2025 I hired a spa manager to oversea that location and moved to the ATL metro. I opened my first spa here in August in Lawrenceville, GA. We’re so excited to learn more about this community as we service this great population with an atmosphere of relaxation and peace. It is our goal become the one stop shop for all of your self care needs.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has definitely had its share of ups and downs. One of the biggest differences for me in Lawrenceville is the very lengthy process to license a massage business. Gaining the trust of people when you’re new to the area can always be a challenge but we’re equipped for it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am licensed in massage therapy and esthetics. I specialize in massage, facials, and full body waxing.

How do you define success?
Success is building a capable team around you that leaves nothing to be desired. Lacking abilities in a certain area doesn’t discredit who you are. It merely separates you from those who pretend to know everything. Finding the person to fill in your blanks is real leadership which in turn breeds success.
