Meet Tia Hansard of Enliven Hair Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Hansard.

Tia Hansard

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been in the hair industry for 18 years. I had an amazing mentor who constantly pushed me and encouraged me. Through the years I kept having a tug in my heart to open my own salon. I started the process in January of 2020 but then unfortunately covid shut it down. But through praying and waiting on God’s timing, I was able to start the process again the next January and finally opened the doors at Enliven Hair Studio on April 1, 2021.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say it’s been a huge learning experience. Some highs and some lows, but all have led me to where I am. Learning and growing is something we constantly have to do in this industry, so I take the struggles as a blessing!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Enliven Hair Studio?
“Enliven” means to give life to. It was important for me to have a name with meaning and this is everything our salon thrives to do. We want to give life to your hair, but also we want to be a calming and encouraging environment to pour into our clients. We don’t want it to be only about your hair, but we love to form relationships.

We specialize in women’s hair, customized hair color, and extensions.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
It is important for us as a salon to evolve with the constant changes in our industry. We take value in continuing education and are always on the lookout for fun hair classes! I would love to see Enliven grow and expand over the next couple of years, especially in the new and upcoming area of Gainesville. My goal is to have a safe and encouraging place for stylists to thrive and grow. Nothing makes me happier than to see others succeeding in this industry!
