Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara Monroe.
Tiara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m from southern pines North Carolina, 5 hours from Atlanta. I started taking modeling in acting classes and also going to workshops in Cary, Nc in 2011 while working part-time at a resort in Pinehurst North Carolina. Once I finished taking classes, I became a model and acting instructor. Five years later, I started getting phone calls from business owners that was in the music and acting industry. And a long-time friend that’s been in the business for a while to come to Atlanta. Once I went to Atlanta, I just started networking and promoting myself and other business and going to casting calls every chance I have. Driving 5 hours every weekend, it’s not easy but I was determined to make it happen and I will continue to stay focus and I’m ready to take on more and in new
adventures in the music, acting and directing industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The struggles were having to save to make sure I had money to stay in Atlanta and have a job when I came back to North Carolina and driving 5 or 6 hours and coming right back the same day and sacrifice.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I specialize in promoting music artist and also managing new artist called more alike entertainment. And models as well. It’s important to teach behind scenes and what really happens and what to expect, reading is key and knowing what you are getting yourself into before signing anything.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t really go by luck. I just let things happen as they come and through prayer.
