Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Walker.
Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I founded Creative Minds Learning Center in 2017 with a vision to create a nurturing, high quality learning environment where children feel seen, supported, and inspired. As a mother and an educator with a background in arts and early childhood education, I’ve always understood how critical those early years are in shaping confidence, curiosity, and long term success.
What started as a passion for helping families quickly grew into something much bigger. I saw a need for childcare that was not only safe and structured, but academically enriching and creatively empowering. I wanted families to feel confident knowing their children were building strong educational foundations while still being encouraged to think independently and express who they are.
Over the years, that vision has grown into two licensed locations serving children from six weeks to twelve years old across Georgia and Illinois. We provide a STEM and arts based curriculum aligned with state standards, along with Spanish and French language exposure. Today, we serve dozens of families and employ a dedicated team committed to excellence in early education.
Building Creative Minds has stretched me in ways I never expected. It has required resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to the families who trust us daily. As a mother myself, I understand the level of trust families place in us every single day, and I carry that responsibility with intention and care.
I’ve always known this was bigger than just operating a daycare. It’s about creating safe, empowering environments where children thrive and families feel supported. As we continue serving families in East Metro Atlanta and beyond, we are preparing for strategic expansion to increase access to high quality early education. My long term vision is to build sustainable, community rooted learning centers that not only educate children, but also create jobs, uplift families, and strengthen the communities we serve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Building and scaling licensed childcare centers comes with constant learning curves, from navigating regulations and compliance in multiple states to hiring, training, and retaining strong staff in a demanding industry.
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth while maintaining quality. I never wanted expansion to come at the expense of excellence. That required building systems, strengthening leadership skills, and learning to delegate effectively.
There have also been personal seasons that stretched me as a mother and as a business owner. Those moments forced me to grow in resilience and perspective. They reminded me that strong leadership is not about doing everything alone, but about building sustainable structures that allow both families and teams to thrive.
Every challenge has sharpened my vision and strengthened my commitment to serving our community with integrity and care.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

We are known for creating safe, nurturing environments where families feel supported and children feel empowered. We prioritize communication, consistency, and strong teacher development because we believe quality childcare begins with strong leadership and well trained staff.
Brand wise, I am most proud of the trust we have built within our communities. Families choose Creative Minds not just for supervision, but for intentional education. We are committed to maintaining excellence as we grow, and we are currently preparing for strategic expansion to increase access to high quality early learning in East Metro Atlanta.
Our goal is simple but impactful: to build environments where children thrive academically and emotionally, and where families feel confident in the foundation being laid for their child’s future.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is creating and performing little “shows” for my family and the kids in my neighborhood. I loved writing poems, singing, starting small clubs with the other children, and putting together performances just for fun. I was always organizing something or encouraging everyone to participate. Looking back, I can see how those early moments shaped my love for creativity and leadership.
