Meet Tiffany Williams of Taste Tiff’s Catering

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Williams.

Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hi I’m Chef Tiffany of Taste Tiff’s Catering. I started cooking very young mostly because I’m a very picky eater. The first thing I learned to prepare was eggs , I soon upgraded to French Toast, & now I’m known for my famous version of Monte Cristo. I’m extremely skilled in many areas of culinary cuisine. I have my Culinary Arts & Hotel Restaurant Management degrees I’m both Serv Safe & ACF certified. I’ve been a private/personal Chef for seven years along with catering. I’m also a food blogger because not only do I prepare great food, I know what great food is. Assisted in opening 3 Detroit based restaurant Spud Headz, Pasta Bowl, & Detroit Taco Bar. Some of my clients include Essence Magazine, Chase Bank, Detroit Athletic Club & Michigan Chronicles.

Has it been a smooth road?
I always say I have four strikes against myself. I’m an African American Lesbian Woman with a criminal background. Though I’ve made strides to better myself by obtaining a college degree, funding & starting my own business. The stereotypes that follow these four things are forever attached to me sometimes shining a bad light on my business. I continue to work & strive to be the greatest business woman I can be & others soon start to see my exceptional work ethics. Through it all I remember to stay focused & each day to overcome any & all obstacles I may face.

Taste Tiff’s Catering – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
First that I have a passion for food that makes me love what I do. The pathway that I choose to success is not work for me, it’s love & it’s how I spread love. I’m best known for my fusion of foods Brunch is my absolute favorite. Creating dishes like Chicken Alfredo Omelets , Stuffed Salmon Eggs Benedict & of course my famous Monte Cristo. I believe I set myself apart from others because not only am I creative in the kitchen, failure is simply not an option. I won’t give, let up, or be still when it comes to the goals I have for myself. I Regardless of the many circumstances I faced I never stopped wanting better for my life. I never gave up or fell into what statically I could’ve been. There is no competition where there is no comparison. No one can bring to the table like I can because I’m the only version of me. The only competition I have is myself.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the acceptance of both the African American community & the LGBTQ+ community in the Atlanta Metro Area. I appreciate how both communities are able to thrive. The living breathing culture of advancement & unity in Black America is thick in Atlanta. There’s is only one thing I don’t care for in ATL & that’s the traffic I’m sure all the residents would agree. Gosh it take 30 minutes to go to the local gas station!
