Today we’d like to introduce you to Tinie Blaize.
Tinie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a foster child, military veteran, licensed barber and cosmetologist, and creator in production. Just to name a few facts. I started in my current lifestyle once departing from the service but I began practicing my craft and skills as a pre-teen. I am where I am now through self-preservation and efficacy. Started with a plan then completed my goals by being consistent.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life is a roller coaster and so is the road to success. There’s no way around life’s circumstances but the experience is what helps build your self and brand. Some struggles along the way are the lack of support and positive influences. Keeping up positive energy period is at times hard to do when there isn’t much motivation and will power to push forward in a strong way. Most experience this when the focus is on self-growth.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m an entrepreneur whose expertise is in the beauty and production industry. As an entrepreneur, I don’t have specific specialization in those fields. But I plan to pursue becoming a documentarian and I want to focus my audience on building awareness around circumstances pertaining to the lack of opportunities in black communities. Subjects such as foster care and the black household, homelessness, and mental illness. I DO NOT departmentalize my talents and I am not known for anything but I do have creative actions I plan to execute so my work can be discovered. I am proud of my strength and persistence. I am no different from others but I can say I have determination in what I do. I have a purpose in what I do. I am what I do. That’s the only separation from me and others. We inset our own individual touch what we create.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very introverted and creative. I grew up with older siblings so my soul is extremely wise. I was surrounded by brothers so I was tomboyish and tough. I was interested in anything that was hands on like yard work to building things. My talents back then ranged from braiding hair to sketching wardrobe, to writing poems, rap lyrics, and scripts.
