Today we’d like to introduce you to Tino Flowers.

Tino Flowers

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started selling wings as a side hustle to make some money on my own. I had a good job, but I saw a lot of people get fired for minor things. I knew I wanted my own income so I wouldn’t have to always depend on a job and worry about getting fired for something minor. In the beginning, I was only making part-time income from my business because I was still working full-time. After a few years of selling wings only on the weekend, I was able to obtain a small commercial kitchen. Then, I was able to sell wings full-time in order to generate full-time income. I realized I could support myself with my business income as long as I could operate full-time. I am currently in a shared facility that allows me to operate full-time, but eventually, I would like a facility of my own.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not really a smooth road. Sometimes, you have to wait on the right opportunity, so it takes patience. There are constantly obstacles that will arise, and you must find a way to push forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of Pot O Wings. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Pot O Wings, we specialize in southern fried food. Of course, our wings are what we are known for! We are from the south, so our recipes have been passed down from previous generations.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I use my Notes app to write down a lot of information. Running a business can be overwhelming, so it’s good to write things down in my Notes app to stay organized.
