Today we’d like to introduce you to Todd Donutologist Jones.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Todd. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started making Donuts 47 years ago hence the name Donutologist. I love what I do. If you cut me glaze would come out of my skin!!! I worked 20 years with Dunkin Donuts as the highest-paid Baker in Dunkin Donut history. I drove a BMW with the license plate BUY DONUTS. Dunkin actually fired me because I was getting paid too much “Dough$$”. They fired me three months before my daughter Briana (The Donut Princess) was born. And gave me one week severance pay. That got me depressed, so because I love to read books, something told me to go to Barnes and Noble. When I stepped into Barnes and Noble, something told me to stop in front of the magazine rack and lookup.
There I saw Entrepreneur Magazine. That same something which I know is GOD told me to open the magazine there I saw on the page I opened up was the donut machine I have today. I acted in urgency and ordered the machine and never looked back. I’ve done events for Facebook, Twitter, Google, Steve Harvey, Tracey Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, LL Cool J and others. I’ve traveled the country, tearing out mouths with my Doughlicious Donuts. I have offices in NY and Atlanta. Currently, I have a store in Brooklyn, NY. We are looking to start a franchise by the end of 2020. Our Mission Statement is “Cuzin’s Duzin is the Fastest Growing Franchise in Franchise History” We #WontStop #DonutStop.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of the struggles we have encountered are getting funded. We need Dough2Grow. We are currently seeking investors to grow our business exponentially. #DonutStop
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Cuzin’s Duzin – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We curate Hot Fresh Mini Donuts right in front of our Cuzins (customers). Cuzin’s Duzin is an experience. You See them being made, You Smell them, and You can almost Taste them!!! We specialize in making Donuts4Grownups. Alcohol Glazed Donuts. We do Hennessy, Ciroc, Pink Moscato, Jack Daniels and other flavors.
I’m proud of where the company has been and where it’s going. We value our customers and our Team. What sets us apart from other Donut shop is our donuts are mini. We say “ Mini is The New Skinny”. Only 31 calories per mini donut.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We excited to Franchise our Concept so other people can make Dough$$$!!! One of the big changes we’re looking to do is Franchise our mobile units.
