Today we’d like to introduce you to Aldijana Cutahija.
Aldijana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ever since I was a little girl, the art of photography was something that captivated my eye anywhere I went. I remember always carrying around a digital camera, taking pictures of friends, family, architectures, animals, anything really that my eye found interesting and running home to “edit” and manipulate my photos on my old HP desktop. I didn’t really take photography seriously until I had my first son in 2016.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest struggle has always been self-doubt in my photography and editing skills and what I’m truly capable of doing. Second would be the constant comparison game to others in the same field. Overcoming these struggles has been a game changer.

First and foremost, I am a mother, a stay at home mom. In my spare time, I am a freelance photographer. I also run my Instagram page (mypurplelens) where I take lifestyle photography of my two kids. I guess I like to think of myself as a storyteller.
