Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisha (ButterflyGoddess) Cannon.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name Alisha Cannon, and I am known as the Butterfly Womb Goddess. I am the Grateful Founder Of Heal-thy Womb Feminine Wellness! Heal-thy Womb is a sacred space that provides ancient wise remedies with only you in mind! I am not here to impart new knowledge but to Reawaken, Remind and /or accompany you on today’s journey to self-discovery.
My experiences with birth have shaped the way I see life and I live my life as a learning course to achieve my most highest self. Within my journey, I gave birth to three wonderful boys and was blessed enough by union to raise another son. With each pregnancy, I experienced different complications during labor which all left a mark on me. In 1999, my first son was ready to be welcomed and I was told that I had to receive a c-section due to not dilating in a timely matter. As someone who has been in the medical field for over a decade, I knew this was not something I wanted to pursue due to it being such a serious surgery. I also knew that it would take a toll on my body’s recovery which I was not looking forward to.
One c-section turned into two more scheduled c-sections. After my body was done recovering and I had all my boys, life changed paths again and challenged me once more. In 2014, I had an ectopic pregnancy resulting in the removal of my right fallopian tube. I felt defeated and became confused about the capability of my vessel. Soon after I realized that I was becoming deeply depressed and had no one to confide in.
Later in my journey, I learned that all of my negative experiences during birth could’ve been avoided. So I took the initiative to fight back by assisting other women. In early 2015, I received my Reiki Masters which was I benefited from in so many forms. Then, 2016 came around and I became a Holistic Women’s Practitioner and was accredited through Love My Womb Academy, but I didn’t stop there because there was more knowledge to acquire. I found a passion for herbs and wanted to incorporate them into my practice, so in 2019 I became a Community Herbalist. After completing so much, I stepped back and realized that I needed to go back to where it all started- the womb. In 2019, I became an instructor to teach Yoni Steaming Self Care under the guidance of Tracy Bryant- Swint who is my mentor and also the owner and founder of Love My Womb Academy. After practicing yoni steaming for while, it became apparent to me that there were other issues that women were dealing with concerning the womb. Fibroids and fertility issues were the top two complications that women would talk to me about. I had experience with both and learned how to eliminate both, so I later specialized in fibroids and fertility. I used this information to help all women live a spiritually free life and to uplift those who needed it most. My journey is still going but there is now clarity upon my purpose to assist all women due to my life’s past and I’m so grateful.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The obstacles I ran into while running a very successful business were marketing skills. I believe I have good services and products that all women from all walks of life can benefit.
If I could give one piece of advice, I would tell women to have faith and keep going no matter the situation. Everything will happen in divine timing, keep planting seeds and know harvest time is near.
