Today we’d like to introduce you to Carley Wilson.
Carley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a teenager, I would drive through Beachwood, Ohio with eyes wide staring at the magnificent homes that lied ahead of me. I would pass them on my way to work as a server at a country club. While waiting tables I would listen in on conversations the club members had and dream about living a life as luxurious as they did.
Today, I help buyers and sellers purchase and sell homes similar to the magnificent ones I would see years ago. I became a licensed REALTOR at the age of 21 in 2017. I got licensed after spending three dreaded years at Kennesaw State University where I changed majors three times. I spent those years of soul searching and eventually realized my passion for real estate and real estate investing. I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue a real estate career. It was then that Closed by Carley was born. Since then I’ve helped multiple families buy and sell property and I’ve even purchased my first investment property. I specialize in first time home buyers and have helped many young adults, like myself, purchase their first home.
Has it been a smooth road?
“A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.”
Of course it hasn’t! The biggest struggle I’ve had is understanding that things don’t always go accordingly to plan. I very much so believe that when I tell God my plans he, not only laughs but, rolls around on the floor in tears. I’ve realized that having a plan A, B, C and D is crucial in this business. Real estate is a tricky beast and as a REALTOR and real estate investor you have to be creative when things don’t go exactly as planned. My advice would be to spend time working on yourself. Your business will grow to the extent that you do. Become strong mentally and understand that although you may hear a million no’s it only takes one yes to change your life.

Closed by Carley is my brand as an Atlanta REALTOR. My team specializes in first-time homebuyer and investor clients. I pride myself in helping people understand that homeownership is well within reach even if you feel like it may be impossible. As a millennial agent and homeowner, I understand the stress that comes with purchasing your first home. My main goal is to make the home buying or selling process quick and easy for new homeowners. I also have a YouTube channel titled “CarleysQueendom” where I share with viewers my life as a REALTOR and homeowner. My favorite real estate blogs are Afford Anything and BiggerPockets. I highly recommend them both to anyone interested in investing in real estate. I also love to follow @blackerpockets on Instagram, super informative. A couple of books that have changed my life were “Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success” by Steve Harvey and “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki.
