Meet Trailblazer Destiny Moniz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Moniz.

Destiny, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My husband Sal and I were asked to share our journey as first-time parents on TLC’s show Rattled. After the show aired, I had so many parents asking me about where I got my diaper bag, what my favorite organic baby soap was or for vegan meal ideas for their kids. I decided to start blogging/vlogging to keep up with all the questions I was getting and hopefully share my favorite products with my followers.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s not always easy to stay consistent with producing content. I find that when I’m super busy (moving, doctors appointments etc) it’s hard for me to constantly update my platforms. I feel like the best thing to do is to create a calendar and try to stick to a schedule of posting regularly.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Destiny Moniz Blog – what should we know?
I think I’m most known for being a Vegan Mom who shares all her favorite things! Most of my followers join in on our day to day activities via Instagram, and a lot of them follow along with our family Vlog. For more in-depth stories and product recommendations, my blog is where I post! Raising my kids vegan isn’t always easy due to people having a lack of knowledge on the health benefits of it, but I am proud for sticking to it and helping others along the way!

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I think there are many talented male and female influencers today, but some of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow are Mom’s who include the day to day grind of raising little ones while running a business on their feed. There are so many great companies to work with for men and women, but women have a way of running a household while collaborating with brands that they actually believe in, and that is powerful.
