Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherika Duncan.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a Florida native who was born in Valdosta, Georgia and raised in Madison, Florida, by Mr. & Mrs. Walter & Emma Frazier of Madison, Florida. I have one older sibling, Walter Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia.
I consider myself as a loving, devoted mother of two beautiful children, Nia seventeen and Nyles thirteen years of age. I am a caring Aunt to two nephews Brandon and Bradley of Atlanta, Georgia.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road to success has been adventurously bumpy indeed. Some of the struggles along the way made me self-assured and aware of my spiritual, social, and political environments. My advice to other women is to discover their true inner beauty and strive to balance out all of the emotions internally by acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses and tackling your fears. I will sincerely encourage young women to discover their current mental health state to learn how to guard and protect their energies. Also, as women should be more conscious of what value you add to this world that we share. It is truly a beautiful thing to be a woman in this universe. We must spread more love, encouragement, and forgiveness. I am here to remind you there is beauty in our brokenness; there is nothing wrong with making a mistake to learn and relearn everything imaginable.

I proudly hold an MBA degree with a specialization in project management from the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University; Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and business minor from Florida A&M University; Associate of Arts degree from North Florida Community College. Currently, I am a philanthropist, accountability specialist, and entrepreneur with a certification in Public Management in Leadership at Florida State University. While I faithfully continue to partner with many entrepreneurs, artists, and music industry professionals by providing consultation or contributions in many successful projects behind the scenes. I am a project manager for a governmental agency and the Author of The Setup novel and Executive Director of Excellence Dance Studio, Inc. My most proud moments were on my book launch tour at New Orleans 25th Essence Festival as an Essence Author. It was a transformational experience, and I will encourage all women to attend for inspiration and education. I met so many women of color and my now publicist Stephanie of The Hue company based out of Ontario, Canada. Secondly, my most proud moment was in midtown Atlanta at Burgerim located at 933 Peachtree Street NE #951, as I engaged with the people by motivating building relationships. My podcast co-host Rolande Mehu and I organized a live broadcast taping with several gems from the Atlanta community such as Midtown Burgerim owner’s Chris, Ski-mask member of Crime Mob, Fred alexanderaperture, Dominic fondon. I read excerpts from the novel and even enjoyed karaoke with positive-minded individuals while indulging in Burgerim’s signature food and specialty drinks. I have traveled to New York, Orlando, Florida, and plan to go to Canada this summer for a women’s empowerment event sponsored by The Hue Public Relations Agency.
So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I am amazed by how many opportunities there exists for women today. It is truly a diversified playing field in our society. Especially the progression of social media, it tends to depict temporary happiness through snapshots of controlled images or information. We are seeking for our ability to be more transparent with overcome adversities and a few sporadic disappointments. There is a need to share our unscripted experiences in pivotal platforms such as these, where you have the freedom to share your ideas and perspectives to the world to hopefully encourage someone to keep going to fulfill the destiny of our ancestral contributions.
