Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone.
Simone, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When it comes to my journey as a content creator, I started my YouTube channel about five years ago. I’ve always been a major product junkie and thought, what better way to share my love for everything beauty and fashion related than on a YouTube channel. I’m often asked about my various beauty routines, so I figured this would be a great way to easily share my routines with those who ask about it. In regards to my real estate career, I’ve always loved helping people and have a bachelors in Psychology and my Masters in Mental Health Counseling, so I knew that real estate would be an extension of my passion for helping people. It would allow me to be a part of helping people with one of the most important moments in the lives.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with any obstacles in life, I feel that it’s important to try to remain as positive as possible and embrace the idea that everything in life has a reason and a purpose. Although it may not seem like at a particular moment, eventually it will always make sense and life will be exactly as it is meant to be. Each experience we encounter in life has been placed there to teach us a new lesson that will make you stronger and more knowledgable. My journey has definitely not been an easy or smooth one and I’ve had and still do face many obstacles, but through it all, I make it a point to constantly remind myself that what’s meant for me can’t be altered by anyone other than God. I am always learning more about myself as I go through this journey called life and simply figuring things out along the way. I believe that it’s important for all women, especially young girls to bear in mind that it’s okay to not have things all figured out, to take the time to focus solely on yourself and you discover who you truly are and what you want in life. Focus on the aspects of life that are most important to you, travel the world, build your career, create financial stability for yourself and simply have fun. Trust the process and understand that everything will work out in the end and happen at just the right moment. Don’t depend on anyone or anything to make you happy. Make yourself happy and stay true to who you are and watch everything work itself out.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a content creator who creates relatable, encouraging, fun and honest content for everything related to hair, beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. I am also a real estate agent who works with various clients from all walks of life and has a goal to provide everyone with an amazing and fun experience in the home buying, selling or investing process. I genuinely love helping people, so both of these fields allow me to be creative and assist people in working on various aspects of their lives. I always make sure to be authentic and remain true to who I am despite what others may think. As simple as this may be, I believe that this is what sets me apart from others in my field. I always try to encourage others and maintain a level of positivity despite the circumstances. In the social media world, I think I’m most known for my hair, but I don’t like to solely focus on that because I know that I have so much more to offer than hair advice. In the field of real estate and on social media, I also feel that I am known for the genuine connections that I have the ability to develop with people. I always have the best interest of others at the forefront and I’ll always have a level of compassion and empathy with anyone I encounter despite any differences we may have. What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve always remained true to who I really am despite anyone or anything that has come up against me in life. The goal is to have a lifestyle brand that will assist people in living their best possible lives both internally and externally.
Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
I absolutely love Joel Osteen because he makes it a point to see the positive side of any situation and is always encouraging others to remain focused on their goals. I follow an array spiritual and positivity of pages on Instagram and really enjoy listening to various podcasts like Second Life that interview women from various backgrounds an allow them to share their journey in life in a way that provides so much encouragement and hope for anyone who may be going through a tough time.
