Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Leavitt.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a Brooklyn girl, born and raised. Although I have spent many years living in different states from Florida, North Carolina and now Georgia. My father passed on his passion for photography to me as a very young age. I was about eight years old when he gave me my first camera. I was hooked from that moment on. I had my first pro camera by middle school and took it with me everywhere. I went on to graduate from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, after that I was on my way to freelancing work.
Has it been a smooth road?
The struggle was finding my niche’, I tried many different avenues of photography, from weddings to bands/musicians, models, fashion, landscape, and nature. I fell in love with the retro pinup and boudoir world and its culture. I loved making women feel beautiful and empowering.

I love to photograph life in all its forms and I love to be able to create art. I favor models, musicians, old cars and abstract nature. I love to work with creatives minds as well, nothing greater than when you can collaborate and take the inspiration further.
