Tytiana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I was 16, and I first started doing makeup, it was something I instantly fell in love with. My mom gave me these makeup tutorial booklets to teach me the ins and outs of doing your makeup professionally, since this was something she also had to learn as a young model. The book she gave me however, wasn’t as helpful as I had thought . It was kind of confusing, and somehow very boring for a makeup book. So, soon after I took to the internet and found girls on YouTube who did makeup . I was thrilled because not only did they make it look so easy, this also inspired me to create my own YouTube channel and do makeup tutorials on there! So, that’s exactly what I did. Fast forward to 7 years later, and I’m inspiring so many people by creating amazing looks online . Although I had never had any formal training, it feels amazing to create looks and amazing online content for the world, that they genuinely love and enjoy . Doing makeup and creating looks as an artist has by far helped me through so many things, even depression. I am more than happy to now share my art with everyone, hoping to inspire and uplift as much as I can.
Has it been a smooth road?
This definitely has not been a smooth road. When I first starting doing makeup, it was like therapy for me, and something I just liked to do for fun. Then once I transitioned to doing videos online, I had realized I’d stepped into a whole other world. It was definitely difficult as a new person to get on social media and make videos only for no one to watch them. I realized that if you wanted to get views, and spread your social presence in a real and authentic way, you have to be consistent and you have to bring something different. My advice to young women on their journey, would be to just be yourself and go hard! Don’t worry about the numbers, and certainly do not worry about being successful or making money right away. Real long term success takes time but if you stay true to yourself, harness that inner uniqueness about yourself and stay consistent day in and day out, you will ALWAYS come out on top.

I am an online Beauty Influencer. I am an active player in the makeup community, who creates looks online for people to do enjoy, get inspired by, and above all learn how to create the perfect makeup look! I specialize in modern day makeup. By that I mean propelling looks inspired from today’s top influencers and celebrities. In short, I create trendy looks based from trendy people or trendy makeup techniques. Some of these techniques are vital to a perfect look nowadays, and my job is to spread awareness. I am most proud of the growth that has happened as a result. I am proud that people look at what I do as a true art and encourage me on a daily basis to strive harder. I believe what sets me apart from most people in my industry, is the way that I present my art. My favorite thing to do is to recreate celebrity looks for video content. I love taking a celebrity’s overall look, makeup and sometimes hair wardrobe, as a way to pay homage to the people behind the look. It takes a team for celebrities and influencers to look as perfect as they do. I want to bring more attention to that.
Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
Once you realize exactly what you want to do, I would definitely recommend going online! The internet is FILLED with so many communities of people who do exactly what you do and it is important to connect with like minded people . For example, when I first started seeing girls I admire in the beauty and makeup community, I would reach out to them whether that be in an Instagram Dm, or even under a YouTube comment, and explain how much they are inspiring me and so many others, and if they had any advice for me to be as successful as they are.
