Today we’d like to introduce you to Traviel Harrison.
Traviel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My business partner and I wanted to make an impact on our health. In 2015, we started to make vegan comfort food to erase the stigma of it only being sticks and twigs. We are a startup food service that provides tasty vegan comfort food. We’re on a journey to remind foodies they can enjoy eating healthily. The first step to transitioning to a better overall diet is tasting vegan food that will hit the spot! Our promise is to serve an exceptional vegan/vegetarian meal to all customers. We provide 100% vegan based foods using natural non GMO ingredients and food choices. We are a community of leaders focused on serving by doing popup events, ready made meals, and event catering, all while promoting healthy eating. We even cater to the most staunch meat eaters! We use our events to build relationships with our customers. We don’t force our vegan habits on anyone. We merely encourage people to try something new!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Balancing running the business while still working full time jobs has been the hardest factor thus far. Prepping the food for events has been the biggest challenge; however, it has given us our now biggest strength, time management. And we need plenty of it!
Vegan Village – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Vegan Village is a startup popup food joint. We take over restaurants, meal prep, catering, etc. Most people would say we are known for our Cauliflower chick’n buicuits which, is our number one seller! However, I would say our strong suite is our vegan brunch as a whole. I am proud of the support that we received and the continued growth! Without the local community and friends and family vegan village we would not have gone this far. What sets us apart from others? Well that’s easy! We make all the food from scratch and we are soy-free, which is a big plus for many. We make food for all people, whether vegan or nonvegan our food hits the spot! Come grab a bit and see for yourself! Don’t let the crowds beat you there!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is something that continues to grow and that inspires others. Vegan Village brings awareness to your food choices in the tastiest of ways. We desire to inspire before we expire!!
