Today we’d like to introduce you to Tweet Taylor.
Tweet, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a young Entrepreneur at the age of 11. I worked in my mother’s salon in Columbus, Georgia, name a head start beauty salon. By the age of 24, I decided to go to school for Cosmetology and became licensed at 25 in 2005. Hair is my life; it’s more than just a passion for me… it’s a marriage. It’s a vow I took till death does us part. I’ve own two salons located in Columbus, GA. My first Royal T Studios and my 2nd one, The Kut Beauty Salon. I didn’t do well as an Owner because I had no correct education in Business Management; however, until death do us part, I never put my Blow Dryer Down. My business is in my hands, not in a building.
I have had the opportunity to take my talent and gain a license in several different cities in Georgia as well as outside of Georgia Like, North Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma and Arkansas. I absolutely adore the field of Beauty in which why I revamped my business name Beautë Rejuvë. I am to service my client in any area of beauty that they want to enhance, whether it’s Skin Care, Makeup or body jewelry… Ana, when they want to freeze the moment, I pull out my Canon T5 and proceed in a mini PhotoShoot. My Mission is to Rejuvenate the Beauty in every Woman that Trust the Talent within my hands and my Vision. I am my Brand… Beautë Rejuvë.
Has it been a smooth road?
Ohh, my not at all has this road been smooth for me. At the beginning of my career, I “was” a military wife, I would promote promote promote until my clientele is at a comfortable rate for me then BOOM we are on PCS to somewhere new. This has happened three times in my career until I landed in Ft.Stewart/Hinesville, GA. After surviving a domestic violence relationship, I decided to take my career more serious so I can survive on my own with three Great kids. Hair Styling became my life being able to communicate and grow great bonds with both women and men in this industry made me feel like I was apart of a movement.
That I have the purpose of making people feel good even when I didn’t feel great myself. I’ve owned a private suite in Orlando, FL and two salons in Columbus and Yes, all three was a flunky. But that doesn’t mean I’m not good at what I do just means there was a lot of distractions trying to run a business and focus on the Beauty enhancement of my awesome clientele I had to choose and everytime I chose quality work over being an Owner. I love my clients they give me a reason to Never Quit because they never give up on me and that’s Loyalty.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m not a big fan of the Word Specialize in this industry, because in this field u never stop learning, however, I am really great at Braiding and that’s because I’ve been braiding since the age of 11 and I’m 40 now.
Although with age and Arthritis, I am no longer able to accommodate my Braid lovers. However being a licensed cosmetologist, I’m also great with other things like First and foremost Healthy Hair Consultant. I focus on the Health first then the style. I aim to keep your hair healthy and keep your hair growing, so sitting in my chair Includes education on how to take care of your hair moving forward. I don’t hide the products I use. I educate them on what I’m using and why I’m using them, so if they must go to another stylist or salon they have a mental note on what works for them because “Tweet” has already done the research with the proof “It Works.”
My clients aren’t just a number and they will never leave feeling like they were a number. My clients are considered my family and trust when I say they all will admit an experience with Tweet is an experience FOREVER.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Most definitely yes. Networking is fun here people are open to receive new things and new people and new business partners. I would recommend for anyone who’s just starting out to always promote and network as if you just starting out. “Your Network determines your Network.”
If you fail or fall don’tallow that to discourage you… look at me I’ve opened and closed three Salons but that doesn’t determine my greatness, I’m still a Sis-Star filled with determination, Aspiration and a BlowDryer. I found what works for me. Stay true to what works for you within your own Art in Beautë.
