Today we’d like to introduce you to Vaee Tha Gawd.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Vaee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Atlanta when I was 17. I went to the Art Institute of Atlanta for Audio Engineering. From there, I networked and grew my following through music. Eventually, I decided to start a hair business, actually doing hair and later opened my hair company, Glam Mafia.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not easy at all. I’ve changed locations several times, I’ve lost my clientele before (trusting the wrong people with access to my businesses) and I’m still growing. I didn’t have a loan or handout when I first got started and I was nowhere near as good at what I do, as I was when I started. Never give up!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Glam Mafia – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I’m known as a musician by lots of my peers. I’ve always had people inquire about my hair, which I’ve been doing my own hair since 6th grade. My hair business specializes in natural Sewin installs and my work stands out because of the more natural look I give my clients. My hair company, Glam Mafia is known for having great quality bundles at an affordable price. I believe overall, what sets me apart is that I’m multi-talented. I’m a rapper who does and sells hair. Thats a lane that almost nobody has stepped into. Especially those in the music industry.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to opening an Agency in Atlanta that will incorporate all of my business ventures. I’m really looking forward to expanding my hair company to a mobile company and beginning to offer courses to teach others what I do.
