Meet Valarie Sieh of Atlanta Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valarie Sieh

Hi Valarie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a deep passion for fashion in high school, which carried me through college, where I studied consumerism in both the fashion and interior industries. Understanding how trends and habits drive purchases fueled my desire to create ValaCostyles, a brand rooted in both styling and sustainability.

As a stylist, I work with a variety of textiles and fabrics, but I also recognize the impact of consumer waste. That’s why I’ve embraced digital content creation, which has helped me lessen my footprint in landfills. My work as a professional organizer also opened my eyes to the cycle of overconsumption—people often buy the same things repeatedly without realizing it. By helping clients organize their closets by color, size, and frequency of wear, I’ve found that it encourages a more mindful approach to shopping. Instead of impulse buys, people start asking themselves: How would this look in my closet? Do I really need another bag? How many items did I discard last year?

An organized space shifts shopping from an emotional desire to a practical necessity. Through ValaCostyles, I’ve been able to merge my love for fashion with mindful consumerism, helping others refine their personal style while fostering a more intentional relationship with what they own.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—pursuing a career as a model, actress, and stylist while advocating for mindful consumerism comes with its challenges. One of the biggest struggles has been finding like-minded talent who share the same passion for slowing consumerism, especially in the fast-paced fashion world. The industry thrives on constant newness, and encouraging people to be more intentional with their purchases goes against that cycle.

Another challenge has been balancing all the different aspects of my work. As a model and actress, I often find myself needing extra hands, whether it’s for styling, content creation, or organizing projects. Building a team that truly understands and aligns with my vision has been a journey in itself.

Despite the obstacles, I stay committed to the bigger picture—showing that fashion can be both expressive and sustainable. Every challenge has pushed me to refine my approach, and I’m excited to keep growing and inspiring others along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is a fusion of creativity, style, and entrepreneurship. As a music artist, I use my voice to tell stories that inspire confidence and self-expression. As a stylist, I help people refine their look in a way that feels authentic while also encouraging mindful consumerism. And as an entrepreneur, I’ve built a brand that merges fashion, sustainability, and artistry in a way that challenges traditional industry norms.

I specialize in curating unique styles that blend high fashion with everyday wear, making bold statements while remaining sustainable. I’m known for my ability to transform not just wardrobes but mindsets—helping people see fashion as an extension of who they are rather than just a collection of trends.

What I’m most proud of is how my work influences people beyond the surface. Whether it’s through music, styling, or entrepreneurship, I aim to inspire confidence, creativity, and a more intentional approach to both fashion and life.

What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly blend multiple creative industries while maintaining a strong message of sustainability and self-awareness. In a world that constantly pushes overconsumption, I stand for mindful expression—helping people look good, feel good, and make choices that matter.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
As a fashion writer, I find inspiration everywhere—from art and music to culture and history. My blog, ValaCostyles, is shaped by numerous influential artists, designers, and painters whose work fuels my creativity and deepens my understanding of fashion’s evolution.

When it comes to resources, I turn to a mix of apps, books, and podcasts that keep me inspired and informed. Pinterest and Moodboard help me visually map out ideas for styling and editorial content. Vogue Runway keeps me updated on the latest collections and trends, while The Business of Fashion provides insights into the industry’s shifts and challenges.

Books like The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior and Fashion Climbing by Bill Cunningham remind me of fashion’s timeless artistry, while podcasts like Dressed: The History of Fashion and The Cutting Room Floor offer in-depth discussions on design, sustainability, and cultural impact.

Beyond fashion, I pull inspiration from art and music blogs, biographies of legendary creatives, and even street style photography. Staying immersed in different creative worlds allows me to bring fresh, multidimensional perspectives to ValaCostyles and my work as a writer.
