Hi Valeria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a fourth year at the University of Georgia and I started my business my sophomore year. I used to run a thrifting account on Instagram and hated shipping so I decided to find a solution! Two years later and 1400 customers in, Thryft ship is thriving! If you google my name or my business name, you can find lots of articles from UGA updating you on all the competitions we have won!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggle has definitely been developers. Im not from a tech background and running a software company has made that issue quite pressing. I added a CS minor in my studies and have been trying my best to understand as much as possible!

We are a shipping company made for small businesses on Instagram. We help streamline the shipping process by giving small businesses a shipping link they can send to customers through DMS or put in their bio! Customers can click on the link, fill out their address information, email for tracking, and other useful details to help make the shipping process as smooth as possible. We cut the average shipping time down from two hours to 30 minutes for every ten packages shipped out.
How do you define success?
Success is an intrinsic feeling of accomplishment. Realizing how far you’ve come and being content along the way is how I feel successful.
