Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Smith
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making custom jewelry about 13 years ago, to raise money for my son Juan who has autism. I wanted to make these autism related bracelets to raise money for autism walk event that Atlanta and other states have every year. It was after the events that everyone was still interested in my bracelets that wasn’t autism related and WristRock bracelets was born and was official in 2008
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a struggle in the beginning because I don’t know where to really purchase the items I needed to create. Someone had given me a little information but not all what I needed so I put in the work and researched until I found all the information that was needed… and today I still continue to learn
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My main career is a dental assistant for 21 years for an amazing dentist in Atlanta ga. Making jewelry and teaching jewelry classes is my passion. I teach classes to women and men that are interested in making jewelry as a hobby or a side business with hopes to making it their career What sets my pieces apart from others is the passion and the time and detail I take and do with every piece. I think of it like I’m making it for the queen of England. all my clients are celebrities and I create each piece with that thought in mind when I create.
What makes you happy?
Creating and making my clients smile when they receive my creations make me happy, because making them happy lets me know I have completed what I set out to do with my jewelry.
