Today we’d like to introduce you to Carissa Kubitz, Anthony Gibbs, and Rachel McGehee.
Thanks for sharing your story with us. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
cOMingle Festival was created by the three of us as a way to expand existing connections and share the purpose of Vibe Hive. Vibe Hive is a membership-based community with a mission to empower creators and healers globally. In our planning for Vibe Hive, we all felt strongly about bringing people together while continuing our search for a building in Atlanta. cOMingle was the perfect start.
Atlanta has a diverse culture with a ton of amazing artists, musicians, extensive healing arts offerings and rich spiritual roots. We feel it is important to bring everyone together to collaborate, connect and learn. We had a really successful first event and we’re already working on what comes next. Tune in with our social channels as we announce the coming events! FB: @cOMingleFest, IG: @cOMingleFest.
Has it been a smooth road?
We’d like to preface this question by saying that cOMingle Festival came together in 30 days from deciding we were going to create this event to the day of the event. That being said, there were absolutely some challenges that came with the short timeline. For the most part, though, we were amazed at how divinely all the pieces started falling together once we decided that cOMingle was happening. Building the website, the event program, vendors, facilitators and operations in general, it all seemed to fall into place more quickly than we could have imagined.
We’d say the biggest struggle was managing, marketing and shopping for the festival as we are only a three-person team! All 3 of us were running all over the city for a few weeks gathering all the supplies, hanging promotional posters and flyers and spreading the word about cOMingle. We definitely had a few sleepless nights over it.
We are super grateful for the lessons and our spiritual support because without our guides this wouldn’t have been possible!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Vibe Hive story. Tell us more about the business.
We are fueling global evolution through creative & healing arts clubhouses. We’re building a community with memberships, classes, events & services. It’s a haven for creators of all kinds.
We see several social impacts from what we’ve created. We know this will help get people off of their devices and interacting with each other, leading to the deeper and more authentic connections society is craving. We also see technology taking so many of the “normal” jobs away, and we know art and energy work will remain.
Mostly though, Vibe Hive creates social justice by giving power back to creatives. Artists provide nearly all of society’s environments, from art on the walls and streets to music playing in restaurants. Take all the art away, and humanity’s existence would be bland. We see a movement towards a more arts-centric society and have developed a concept where artists can thrive.
What sets us apart is the communal aspect of Vibe Hive and cOMingle. The ethos behind both of these concepts is connecting more people with other like-hearted people and connecting everyone more deeply with the healing power of the arts. What we’ve created is powerful and unique. We can’t wait to share more.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The need for healthy community gatherings for all ages will only increase over the coming years. Breaking away from our devices to connect with ourselves, others and the eARTh in deep, meaningful ways will continue to be a theme of growing importance. Also, this ultra-connected technological society leaves many people feeling that true connection is missing. This is where cOMingle comes in, to blend to a harmonious whole.
We also see a big shift from consumption of content/substances to creation, connection and appreciation of our bodies, each other, the arts and music. With the number of healing offerings at cOMingle, it was important to be alcohol and drug-free, which is unique for a festival. We feel that in the coming years many more people will be looking for drug and alcohol-free events. The arts are a space where humans can fully BE themselves without substances in ways unlike any other.
