Today we’d like to introduce you to Vicky Humphries.
Hi Vicky, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was heavy on drugs and alcohol at the beginning. I went to rehab for three months. I am now clean for eight years. After rehab, I started to learn who I was and had people reach out to me in the entertainment scene. I started out as a promoter which I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I started to love the entertainment scene more and more. Then I was an assistant manager to an artist. I traveled to Las Vegas to Florida with her. I began learning who I was. I went into photography. I love that and wanted more. I was also a model, motivational speaker and event planner.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it wasn’t a smooth road. In the entertainment scene, you will have your negatives with good. I learnt to take the negative and turn it into positive. I had lost a lot of good friends during this process but that’s ok. I made a lot of great ones on the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a photographer, motivational speaker, artist manager and event planner. I am very proud of my photography work. My photography work shows what I see thru my photos, the beauty of art. What sets me apart is I am different so many ways. I follow my heart and go for what I want. I get stronger as I go.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see me getting more work especially with photography and motivational speaker. I see more gigs. I will meet more artists in the entertainment scene celebrities.
