Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Vinh Huynh & Dr. Jamie Kim.
Dr. Vinh went to Emory for his undergraduate school, then he was heading to the Medical College of Georgia for his dental school, graduating at the top of his class. After earning his residency in Orthodontics and Master of Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr Vinh Huynh opened his practice in 2002 to bring an exceptional education, extensive clinical experience, and a long standing personal dedication to improving dental health to his practice, allowing him to provide his patients with both outstanding functional health and beautiful smiles. Dr. Vinh is the First Asian American Orthodontist in the Southeast. His vision is to be a leader in dentistry through clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
Dr. Jamie Kim joined the practice in 2016. Dr. Jamie Kim grew up in Athens, GA. She began her higher education at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating at the top of her class. Dr. Kim then completed her residency in Orthodontics and Master of Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at MCG, Dr. Kim was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society for graduating in the Top 10% of her class. At UAB, she was appointed by the UAB Orthodontic faculty to serve as the Chief Resident of her Orthodontic program. Dr. Kim was chosen as one of only 12 National Finalists for the “Resident of the Year Award” by the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, a leading academic journal for orthodontists.
Dr Vinh & Dr Kim committed to treating each patient individually in a friendly, informative atmosphere utilizing the latest in orthodontics techniques to provide the highest quality care. Dr. Vinh & Dr. Kim have 2 orthodontics practices. They been serving the patients in Norcross and Lawrenceville area for 15 years!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It is a smooth road for the practices. Both orthodontists are continually updating the software, such as digital X-rays, 3D printer & scanner, and using the new technologies such as the special brackets to decrease the time of treatment but still get the best result.
Alright – so let’s talk about the practice. Tell us a little more about Orthodontics of Atlanta – what should we know?
Our specialty is braces/orthodontics. Both of us promise that we will treat them just like we would treat our family & kids, and anytime they have a question, we will make sure the question is answered. We always look to improve not just the technology and the equipment, but also the treatment we provide for our patients. We enjoy spending time with our patients, talking to both parents and children, explaining to them about the treatments, answering their questions, and teaching them the right ways to manage their oral health. We want them to know that we are here for them, and never too busy to see them. We are specialized in braces. We stand by our guarantee – straight teeth or money back. Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
When it comes to healthcare, you want to seek advice and treatment from doctors who can provide you the quality instead of quantity. We want the patients to understand the difference between seeking for the orthodontics treatment from the general dentists vs. the orthodontists. With the orthodontists, we must finish another 2 to 3 years of orthodontics school after our dental school. We have an extra training to correct bites, straight teeth to give the patients the beautiful smiles. We are the orthodontists and we are experts of straightening teeth. We promise our patients that their smiles will be our #1 priority the moment you walk into our office until your treatment is completed. We feel blessed that our profession involves creating beautiful smiles for the patients, and along the way, giving them the functional bites that will last a lifetime. The best part of being an orthodontist is the interaction we have with our patients and the opportunity to educate them on the different aspects of their oral health and that’s our success.
