Meet Wade Kehoe of Augusta Ga.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wade Kehoe.

Hi Wade, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started 16 years ago when I threw a rave birthday party for myself in my parents backyard I took home sound equipment we had around the house and Frankensteined them together so I could play music off my laptop. My friends that attended had been to other electronic events and told me that I had a good ear for song selection and that I should look into djing. From there it became a bit of an obsession that only grew. I’ve played around the city of Augusta in various clubs and bars but I also have always continued to help throw events around this city. In the last two years. We have really established a stand out crew known as MoonDaze and built up our own stage set up in our attempt to continue to build our local scene.
2025 has been so good to us that I have to say 2026 is already looking exciting!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think our biggest challenge is that because we are a smaller community we are still growing and the learning curves that come along with that growth not just for me as an individual although I have to learn a good bit about every part of what we do and I still have so much to learn. I know I can’t do every part of everything. But I get the honor of figuring this puzzle that has do defined design and making it happen for the benefit of our community.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most proud of my consistency and work ethic. My passion for music and djing has grown our community but as for myself I know how to stick my nose to the grind stone. I’ve been a regular dj in my local night scene for years pushing the boundaries of what our local get to hear and experience. I’m booked djing 2-3 nights every week. And especially busy during the wedding season as I use money I’ve made from that to invest in our team. I’ve gotten to do some amazing things through my music in 16 years of working on it. I’ve had countless memories that will be with me forever. When you show up and give it your all every time people see it and recognize it. I’ve been blessed today that I’ve been able to make a living off of my passion.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Honestly I have to say it’s the mindset of being a professional when I’m out. I know it’s tempting to drink while you’re out. But in my years of working I know to show up on time, to not consume too much alcohol so that I can do my job that night. I have my nights off I can go drink then. When it’s time to work it’s time to work.
