Meet Wanda Callahan, Psychic in Powder Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wanda Callahan.

Wanda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My daddy was a preacher, so I was in church a lot. And I remember being 8 years old and sitting in church listening to the preacher preach on Hell and fire and brimstone, and you don’t ask questions just trust in the Lord. If you ask questions that is blasphemy. God is a vengeful God. God is a loving God.

And I just knew in my heart that there was something more. There was something they were not telling us. Maybe they didn’t even know themselves. I spent a lot of years searching for the answers.

I was 31 years old back in 1988, when a co-worker of mine introduced me to Abraham! I listened to my first CD from Esther Hicks and Abraham. www.Abraham-Hicks.com.

Bam! A light bulb came on! Brightness! Answers were everywhere! Like a buffet had been laid out in front of me to indulge myself all I wanted.

That’s all it took! I finally had found the answers to questions I had been asking myself all my life.

I started asking myself harder questions. Questioning the bible that I was raised on. I was hungry for truth. Not what had been written by man and different versions of the writings being updated as man saw fit.

I started following my gut more. I was pulled deeper into metaphysics. I read up on anything that struck my interest. And believe me, just about everything struck my interest. I had come alive again! Wayne Dyer, Carolyn Myss, Ram Dass…

In 1999, a new store opened a couple of blocks from my apartment. Fragrance Plantation. I thought it was a perfume store and just passed it on by. But one day I took a walk and decided to go check out the perfumes. Well, lord have mercy, when I walked in the door! The incense burning was so wonderful of a blend. Nag Champa. There were crystals and candles and incense, and books and magick tools and tarot cards and so much more to see. I wound up coming so often, they hired me in the store! Worked my way up to manager. Loved the place and stayed till 2001 when the owner shut it down and moved to Florida.

A month later, I became the office manager at Inner Space in Atlanta. They had psychics on staff from 10 – 10. Not only was the Inner Space there on the property but Hoot Owl Attic, a metaphysical store was there as well, along with “The Atlantian Mystery School”, a metaphysical college.

I was also in charge of setting up classes for the college. And became a student myself and took every class that interested me. And being an employee, I got the classes for half price! Whoo Hoo!

I love nature and wanted to grow herbs and learn their healing properties. Crystals make me feel happy and alive, I wanted to learn more about them. I have been pulled to woo woo stuff all my life and now I was absorbed in it.

Avalon is my favorite place on Earth. I chose the Path of the Goddess. Wanted to learn the old ways and not only about the Moon, and candles, and herbs, and spells, but about sigils and symbols so I also got into Wizardry as well as The Craft. Which led me to teach.

Astrology held a fascination for me. I love the sky and planets and night time. The water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) are the most psychic of the Zodiac. I am Cancer.

Numerology pulled me to It. My birthday is 7/13/1957 = 33. Master 33, even more psychic.

Psychic intuition has always been with me. Gut feeling. ESP. Hunches. I never thought it was anything weird. I grew up thinking everybody could “read” each other and the world. When folks started asking me, “how do you know that?” I got to wondering why they didn’t know that too.

I feel what others feel. I can’t watch a commercial about abused animals or children. I have to leave the room. It squeezes my heart to the point I can’t breathe. Even as I write this, my heart is contracting and tears are forming. Empath, they call it.

I don’t watch much TV because of the cruelty and abuse and negativity. I don’t watch the news or read a newspaper. Facebook is even hard a lot of times to scan.

In 2004, I graduated from The Atlantian Mystery School and was hired as a staff psychic myself at Inner Space. Was also hired as a teacher at the college itself, teaching “The Craft”.

Honed my skills over the next couple of years and then went out on my own in 2006. Started Callahan Consulting. It has been an adventure to say the least.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been a few challenges over the years:

The economic crash in 2008 – The Psychic business is considered entertainment and is a luxury. So my business suffered then.

Some of my family does not agree with what I do for a living.

Being “old school”, I did not keep up with the changes in technology over the years. And that has hurt business. So for the past couple of years I have been trying to play “catch up”.

Please tell us about Wanda Callahan – Psychic.
I do psychic/tarot readings mainly by phone. Worldwide. I use my psychic abilities as well as tarot cards, astrology and numerology in my readings. Kind of bring it all in together to get the best answers and solutions for the folks I am reading. I have gone to college and have achieved a high degree of competency in the areas of:
