Meet Wayne Hall of The Wayne Hall Show

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Hall.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a 10-year-old, I was walking from my house to the neighbor one day when I heard the most captivating voice on the radio. It was a sportscaster named Bobby Fray describing cricket. I was glued to the radio until he was through with his segment. From that moment I wanted to be a voice on the radio. My brothers and I would always imitate the top commentators of the day. We would pretend to be covering a variety of events.

It was, therefore, no surprise when I attended G.C Foster College and became a part of their broadcast team. We covered several events on the intercollegiate calendar along with some of the top sporting events in Jamaica such as the Gibson Relays, Boys and Girls championships to name a couple. After graduation, I was interviewed by the two major radio stations in Jamaica. I just missed out on being hired when I decided to migrate to the USA in 1995. On arrival in the USA, I did not do much radio.

I got back into radio in 2011 when I joined the Island Blend Radio platform. It was on this platform that The Wayne Hall Show became a reality. On Saturday, September 5, 2012, I started to air The Wayne Hall Show on Island Blend Radio. Shortly thereafter I switched to Reggae Vibes Radio. Two years after the start of the show I joined the team at ePower102.1FM on the dial in Boston. Since its inception, the show has been syndicated on reggae Vibes Radio.com, 106 live radio, ePower102.1FM and Tri Starr Radio.com. The Wayne Hall Show platform has continued to grow in the community. Thanks to its listeners the show is looking to expand.

Today thanks to ever-changing technology The Wayne Hall Show is syndicated on three stations and also is streamed live on Facebook and youtube by offstagepass.com. Known for its great topics, interviews and very good music selections The show has grown very well in the community. The show seeks to give small business an opportunity to get their brand in front of a large and ever-growing audience at an affordable price. Unsung heroes of the community are highlighted for their contribution to the community on the platform.

The show was awarded the Linkage awards for best radio DJ in 2014 and on Caribbean Legislative day this year at the State Capitol I was recognized for my contribution to the Caribbean community in the metro Atlanta area. The show continues to live by its motto where information meets music as it continues to serve the community. Listeners are engaged and the audience continues to grow. The show hopes to be on the dial in the not too distant future.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not been smooth. It has been a very interesting ride. The show did not last very long on its first platform. The show and that platform mutually agreed to part ways. The show then was aired on 2 new platforms and soon was on a third. The third platform was short-lived due to a conflict that ended with The Wayne Hall Show being withdrawn.

Finally, the show settled down and made Reaggaevibesradio.com and ePower102.1FM its home. Tri Starr began streaming the show in late 2017. Despite these humps, the show remained consistent in providing information and music in the community.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Wayne Hall Show LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
