Meet Wesley Ingram of ShotByDiego in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wesley Ingram.

Wesley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always been interested in Media since high school. My love for videography and photography started back in my Video broadcasting class. In 2015, I created my own business (@Shotbydiego) through videography and after creating 100+ videos in a two-year span. In 2017, I decided to add photography to my business and it has been the best decision I ever made, learning skills and abilities I never knew existed.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all, but I believe all roads to success comes with struggles and obstacles but it’s how you overcome those struggles that lead to success. I been through every obstacle you can think of in the photography industry including free shoots, lack of equipment, and clients that were unprofessional, etc.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the ShotByDiego story. Tell us more about the business.
My brand is @Shotbydiego and I specialize in Photography and Videography, including wedding videos, music videos, short films, interviews, documentaries, photo shoots, freelance photography, graduation shoots and many more. I’m mostly known for my photography but I’m more than just photography. I consider myself a complete package because I can do it all. I’m proud of the brand because I have been able to maintain high-end professionalism as well as high-quality, efficient projects. My creativity sets me apart from the rest because I am able to bring a unique eye and vision to any project I decide to take on.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see this industry growing because I believe people are finally starting to realize that you don’t have to work for somebody but can create their own business which creates their own avenue for success.
