Hi Whitney, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory
I created The Honey Kiss Collection skincare line with myself and everyone who struggles with their skin in mind. I wanted to create an all-natural, organic skincare line. I was tired of using over the counter and prescription skincare treatments that didn’t work or carried a lot of toxins that would over time become harmful to my skin. I haven’t had an acne breakout since I started. My skin tone is a lot more even and my dark spots faded. I was one of those women who wore makeup almost EVERY DAY.
Since starting my skincare journey and seeing the progress, I’ve only worn makeup on special occasions. I knew when I started putting my plan in motion that I wanted my products to always be affordable and accessible no matter your budget. My business has been open for almost three months and a lot of business owners would say they love seeing new customers, of course, I love my newbies too, but I love seeing my repeat customers the most because that lets me know my products actually work and are helping people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I knew getting into the entrepreneur business would not be easy, I started my skincare line 4 1/2 months ago and I would say the hardest part starting out was getting my products out there to my intended audience. All of my orders have come from word of mouth from my customers! We have sold over 300 products from California to New York on mostly word of mouth.
The first few weeks starting out, I was so discouraged because I was only selling to family members and friends. I doubted myself but I know my products work and are of great quality and affordable. I knew there were people in the world just like me that needed my products I just hadn’t reached them yet, so I didn’t give up. My Skincare line didn’t start to take off with a lot of orders until the end of October and we started in mid-August. I say to any upcoming entrepreneur, don’t get discouraged when you see not that many people are supporting your business, keep posting, keep showing up, someone sees you and you will reach your intended audience, just be consistent.

At The Honey Kiss Collection, we specialize in acne breakouts, reducing the appearance of dark spots, psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, breakouts caused by inflammatory skin diseases and also infected acne. We have helped so many customers who suffer from these skin impurities and we know it’s working because they tell us and they keep coming back! What sets us apart from others is we actually try to get to know our customers and support them the same way they support us. We also try to set our self apart from others by pricing our products and shipping at an always affordable price, so no matter your budget you can get great natural skincare.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I recently have joined Clubhouse and most of the people I follow or rooms I go in are always dropping knowledge that is imperative to my business. Every day I am on Clubhouse, I take away something that can make my business better.
