Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Roundtree.
Will, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started off knowing I was meant for big things.
So, I left with a borrowed $500 and started off on my current journey.
I was homeless, with no credit, and somehow made it to where I TEACH credit strategies to help people and businesses gain funding through my financial services business.
It’s been a ride.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
If someone tells you their road has been smooth as an entrepreneur, they are lying big time.
With every step of faith, you will be tested with things going wrong.
From failed business ventures to not picking the right team members when I first started…all of those things were set in my path.
They were no easy, and definitely, not wanted. But each trial taught me something new about my mindset and about how to perform as a business person from that day on. I’m, actually, happy that I went through some downs in my journey. It has kept my head focused on what’s truly important and genuine in my entrepreneurial space.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I own a financial services business. We provide a variety of services. We create credit strategies for people and businesses to put them in position to do what they’ve always wanted to do.
We offer credit counseling, financial counseling and one-on-one coaching. The coaching is for anyone wanting to position themselves to be better financially, personally or in business.
The thing I am most proud of AND that sets my company apart is our ability to give back. We give our time, our energy and our resources to underserved communities all throughout the globe.
Making money was never my main focus. Putting myself in position to help all my people was the main goal. And I had no idea how I would get here, but I knew it was where I was supposed to be. So, I have taken that mindset with me, and I’m dedicated to educating our communities on generation wealth in the right ways and having everyone in a position to win.
What were you like growing up?
I’m shy.
So, growing up, I didn’t say much to anyone unless I had known them for a while.
You wouldn’t be able to tell by watching me speak to the public, but that skill has been one that I have had to work on and hone throughout the years.
