Today we’d like to introduce you to Windsor Jones.
Windsor, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m the Brand Ambassador for 411Pain & Kanner and Pintaluga. I do all the commercials and jingles for them across the whole southeast region. I’m also an artist that went by Dat Boy Tragic in the streets of ATL and have been grinding and pushing music for years. I switched to my government in 2011 and reinvented my self. I’ve also worked in the film industry for the past 12 years while simultaneously working and pushing my music. I have a label and marketing company BSGO Music Group alongside my business party Mike Smith Kelly a.k.a. @Beat_Lordz_Bsgo and Windsor Marketing & Media Group. My song “Nights like this” prod Kc Da BeatMonster has been killing nightlife’s ATL scene and the video has garnered over 20,000 views.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely hadn’t. I worked 12-15 hours days on film sets and still making it to my shows that night only to wake up and do it all again for years. I had to think out the box. That’s when I submitted 411Pain a jingle and took off. I’m currently five jingles in. I have an Escalade with my face on the side of it as well as being on over 30 411Pain billboards in the city.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m an overall grinder/hustler. I’m known for my relentless grind. I stay in my lane, I do me and I show a lot of love. I’m proud of my Brand Ambassador situation with 411Pain & Kanner and Pintaluga because it has made me an innovator. I created a whole new wave and I’ve changed the sound of jingles. Everyone is playing catch up. I’m proud that I’ve never stopped believing and I never gave up on myself.
What were you like growing up?
I’ve known what I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I was blessed to have found my passion early on. I’ve always been a go-getter. Never been a hater. I stayed down till I came up.
