Meet Woody F. Martin of WJ Enterprises

Today we’d like to introduce you to Woody F. Martin.

Woody, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
WJ Enterprises started out as a group of friends running a firm geared toward the entertainment industry specializing in marketing, promoting and hosting events. We definitely had our share of good and bad nights. Then as luck would have it, I had a dream of starting a company that not only catered to entertainers but to those in the non-profit and small to mid-size business industries as well who are looking for affordable quality marketing. From there we formed a small LLC to create that unique vision that WJ Enterprises stands for today. In addition, to doing that, we wanted to find ways to give back to our community. One, of the ways we did that, is by offering preferred pricing to non-profits in our community.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, nothing truly worth having ever is. There are many issues you may face when starting a company. For example, problems like capital, support, and creating brand awareness. As the years progressed, even when we were in the red zone, we kept on pushing often times not taking a paycheck till we had all the resources, capital, and knowledge to make this company what it is today. Truly, sacrificing for a dream we believed in.

WJ Enterprises – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Like all great companies, WJ Enterprises was created out of passion, Today; WJ Enterprises serves clients from around the world, from small to mid-size businesses, entertainment professionals, to non-profit organizations.

WJ Enterprises provides result-oriented advertising, public relation solutions, and marketing services designed to meet our client’s desired objectives. Specializing in the entertainment, small to mid-size businesses and non-profit industries, we are known for a variety of things. We are known for our affordability, impeccable quality and our customer service to name a few.

The WJ Enterprises family and I are so proud that the company has allowed me to cultivate priceless business relationships and in turn, has afforded me and us on a whole to give back to the community. Case and point I am extremely proud of being on the Haven of Light (a domestic violence non-profit) Board of Directors. As well as being able to work with special needs child through an event, we sponsored.

It is simple; we are unique because we offer high-end marketing at truly affordable pricing. For the “working class” entrepreneurs and/or business owners looking to start or maintain their business, while not compromising quality in addition to providing notable customer service.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
It would definitely have to be my mother. Because, even during her triumphant battle with breast cancer she continued to motivate me to be the best me I can be at all times. She pushes my siblings and I to persevere. Quitting is simply not an option. Always, encouraging me to work on my business model even while we were sitting at her radiation and chemo treatments while she should have been focusing on herself. She backed me and motivated me during her worse time showing me that life is not always, what you want but you learn to make the best of it so you get what you want from it.
