Meet Yoko Twazy

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Yoko Twazy. Yoko was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Edward Eliesya J Wallace.

Yoko, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
So my big brother is an entertainer himself. And I was just watching him one day freestyle and I was curious. So from seeing him I just knew that’s what I wanted to do. But being so young at that time I didn’t really take it seriously. Also, after the murder of my Mother, is when I turned into the Monster that you all see today. She’s the inspiration behind my music.

Please talk to us about your creative work and career. What should we know?
Well, I’ve done a lot in my career. I’m very blessed to say that. And I’m still going. From XXL in 2019, I was on love and hip hop ATL. I have over 2 million views on my song “Heartbeat.” I have a hit song with Lil Wayne, called Problematic. I’ve performed at Miami Liv and Rolling Loud. I was also on What the Flocka in the studio with Diamond White recording my song Joker.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Edward Eliesya J Wallace and Echelon Streetwear and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Echelon Streetwear .
My first time meeting Edward I thought he was a dope ass designer that I really wanted to work with. He gave me this fire ass jacket that everyone asks about. He made me his branding ambassador of Echelon Streetwear. The Brand, The Lifestyle, The Movement is fighting Against Gun Violence. Edward lost his youngest brother William who was like a Nipsey Hustle in his hood. He was murdered leaving behind 5 children. Echelon Streetwear was created in tribute to him and everyone else taken by Gun Violence and Proceeds from the brand go back into the community to those affected by Gun Violence.
