Today we’d like to introduce you to Zachary Jefferson.
Hi Zachary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Self-taught photographer from Norfolk, Virginia first camera was Nikon D3200. So I started back 2013 senior year of high school taking images at my prom and other people’s prom trying to figure out the direction I wanted to go in fast forward met @ashton.nicholas we teamed up and collaborated on photoshoot anytime I had a shoot or he had a shoot He’ll let me know about it that was honorable, loyal friend. days I wasn’t shooting, I was learning how to retouch and etc
How I got to where I am today was networking, word of mouth introducing myself to people, working with celebrities. Having Patience, really building a great relationship with clients being on the scene of all the events handing out business cards.
Exchanging social media information and submitting work to get features and magazines, etc.
I love what I do; it doesn’t feel like work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting out no wasn’t smooth at all. When I started perfecting my editing skills.
It became a lot smoother. Struggles along the way, we’re finding locations to shoot at finding people who really wanted to shoot with you; you gonna get more No than yes that’s just life. People not wanting to pay for shoots.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer. I specialize in editorial, beauty, fashion, headshots, maternity, graduation, club photography, food and etc. I am known for creative ideas, photoshoots more editorial.
I’m most proud of how far I came along eight years of grinding hard work.
What sets me apart of others, I think it’s my style of shooting not staying in a box trying different content to shoot most people say I work is real clean.
