Meet Zephaniah Terry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zephaniah Terry.

Zephaniah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was always a very imaginative child growing up, daydreamed all the time and loved watching movies with my mom. I couldn’t afford classes as a child but once I became an adult at 21 years of age, I could. I’ve been heavily studying, auditioning, and booking professionally ever since.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been anything but a smooth road. The first year I dedicated myself to just learning the craft. I intensely studied camera studies, Misner, and the Ivana Chubbick philosophy so I could understand as much as possible before auditioning. It was difficult working, going to school, and finding time to go to studios to learn but I made it possible. Since then, I spent the next year auditioning, learning the business side of acting, and finding representation. There are times when I have to deal with lots of rejection and not feeling good enough in this business, but I continue to pray and stay focused.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My business is my brand as an actor. I specialize in drama and action but can perform comedy, and romance as well. I am known for my relentless work ethic towards becoming the best actor of all time. What sets me apart from others and makes me most proud is how I connect with others and my character. My followers/fans are called TEAM YOUNGBULL. These consist of anybody that supports my career by watching my shows, films, and being active on my social media. I’m known for being interactive and having a vibrant and supportive personality on an offset.

What were you like growing up?
I was always the kid that loved to daydream and come up with scenes to play in and outside. I was nice and supportive because I always wanted to treat people how I wanted to be treated. Growing up, I was interested in tons of things. I grew up playing any percussion instrument I could get my hands on, especially the drumset. I played football, basketball, baseball, ran track, was on my swim team, and also was heavily into boxing my entire life. The one career I was beginning to take off in was dancing. I grew up studying all styles of dance with my mother Marsha, got into college and began opening for big artists at their concerts until acting came back in my life and took over everything.
