Meet Zimielle Daniel of Zade’s Beauty Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zimielle Daniel.

Hi Zimielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The birth of my business, Zade’s Beauty Studio, occurred while enrolled in an esthetic skin program during 2022. I was unaware of the role of an esthetician until I began the program. It was at this time that I found my real passion for skin health, beauty, and rejuvenation. I recall sitting in class designing my business card, making social media profiles, and getting my instructor’s help. I was always harassing my classmates to let me practice facials and waxing on them! I believe it was God that gave me the name for my business; it literally came with ease, “Zimielle Argenee Daniel Everything=ZADE’S”. I set my launch date April 9, 2022 and from there ZADE’S was born! A close friend gifted me a new lash bed, and my mother gave me a stand, along with a paraffin wax machine. I already had a starter kit and a steamer. I set up my “mini studio” in my dining room area; I transformed it into a studio. My first year was pretty rough as initially I had a significant amount of clientele support; however as the months passed, clientele reduced. A year and a half later, I experienced financial hardship. Because of this, I had to move in with a family member. In addition, I had to temporarily close my business. I originally thought that I would be back on my feet a few months later; however I had to downsize and start over from ground zero. My business had been closed for almost a year and I remember praying asking God was this a mistake? Is this even something you want me to be doing? Shortly after, I began receiving calls, referrals, and eventually was introduced to a well established esthetician who invited me to the grand opening of her spa. Unbeknownst to us, we shared a similar vision down to the actually layout of her spa. A few weeks later my mother proposed to me the opportunity to share a salon suite. I agreed, and relaunched ZADE’S on its two year anniversary in 2024. Fast forward to 2025; I am building relationships with clients and seeking new clients to continue to grow my business.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I faced many challenges and hurdles along the way. I started my business during the pandemic. People were still trying to recover financially, physically and mentally. In addition, I’ve had personal struggles that I had to deal with. Trying to build a presence on social media as well as keeping up with trends. The beauty and skin industry is ever changing. There are new trends, new products, and new services. One has to stay educated on what is happening in the industry.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
There are substantial risks in the beauty industry. There is a matra that states “you have to spend money to make money” which is very true. As an esthetician, there is a potential risk of spending more or faster than you are regaining it. In addition, there are risks associated with investing in new trends, that may not earn an immediate profit .
