Meet Zone1gotti of Dubspot Records

Thanks for sharing your story with us Zone1gotti . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The vision and creation of Dubspot Records came from artist Zone1gotti and 6ix WitIt, in 2016. Recording artist Zone1gotti from the Westside of Atlanta, one of the hot talents in the city. 6ix WitIt from Detroit up and coming rap artist, got linked in with Z1G through a family friend and it’s been power moves since then.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Wouldn’t say it’s been a completely smooth road, it most definitely has had its bumps. One of the challenges we often face is shifting through who real and fake in this industry, money and fame changes people and situations. Another problem or issue is spending unnecessary coins, with dead-end results. Every move must be calculated. But it ain’t all been bad, just remember 6ix saying we would be successful, and I believed him.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Dubspot Records – what should we know?
Dubspot Record label is a new wave of music and artist. With me being the first artist and President singed to the label, followed by fellow artist 6ix WitIt also CEO of the label, were trying to give artist a new platform and outlook on being independent. With some major singings coming with Atlanta’s own DB Quay aka Donkey Boy and Swervy G of CGE we have a lot to offer musically, and culturally.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Just to name a few of my mentors, I would start with Gipp Goodie from Atlanta’s platinum recording group, Goodie Mob he set a mindset and motivation to be the best at what I do, and create my own lane. And one of Atlanta’s legendary radio personality’s DJ Hershey. But nun bigger than the man 6ix who believed in me enough to pave the way, set a standard and help me achieve some of my goals. Idk if he knows his impact on me.
