Today we’d like to introduce you to 300 Yungin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is 300 Yungin, I’m from Demopolis Alabama I came to Georgia when I was seven years old. Growing up, I wasn’t like other kids my age, I didn’t have dreams about playing sports or becoming the most popular. I always have had a different mindset based on how I was raised all I used to hang around was OG’s or oldheads what folks called them, but with the music part, I was always rapping in front of my family even at school, freestyling at the lunch table in class and all. At first, I really didn’t want people to know I made music, not even family because I felt like it was trash. When I first started, I was thinking about quitting because I felt like no one was going to mess with my sound, but then I learned what was gonna get me known was me being true to myself and not listening to others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can’t say its been smooth at all because at one point I was so focused on music I started to not care about school. Then at some points, I found myself skipping class just to make music. I was really going through a lot of things that I didn’t share with others I was so focused on my dreams and my future, I could care less about what others think even if they believed in me or my vision.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work on my music more than anything, I’m very proud to say that I’ve came along to where I am now two years ago I was using android phone to make my first couple of songs. Later on I let my money build up now I’ve brought my own equipment for my own studio I even learned how to mix and master my own songs. I’m very proud because I didn’t give up on myself even when I knew people wasn’t rocking with me.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The best thing I like about Atlanta is how you can start anything you want here and just be your own boss. The least thing I like about or City is how everyone music taste is the same that’s why when I bring my sound onto the scene expect to hear everything.
