Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Rodriguez.

Abigail Rodriguez

Hi Abigail, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey there, I’m Abigail Rodriguez, with over four years of professional photography experience, I’ve developed a talent for capturing those unforgettable moments, whether it’s the joy of graduation or the magic of weddings.

Right now, I’m halfway through my college journey, a sophomore at Georgia Technical College. My focus is an Associates in Marketing Management based in Entrepreneurship. I’m not just about snapping stunning photos, I’m also eager to master the business side of things.

But here’s the real start of my story is because of my grandfather. He’s been my partner in crime from day one, and together, we’ve built our photography business from scratch. We’ve chased adventures, tackled challenges, and celebrated victories side by side. Everything I do, every shot I take, is all inspired by him. He’s the one who instilled in me a love for photography. He’s the reason I push myself every day to be better, to do more.

So, when you see me behind the lens, know that it’s not just about capturing moments—it’s about honoring a legacy that has been passed for 4 generations, continuing a journey that started with my family, and making them proud every step of the way.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely not been easy, I started my business July of 2022. Since then I’ve dealt with COVID-19, online learning, working in fast food, graduating high school, and starting college and somehow my dedication to learning has grown stronger.

Since starting my business from scratch thankfully I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t, however I had to learn that the hard way. There have definitely been some slow months, and well as time of doubt, but not everybody’s journey is that same.It is actually comforting and humbling knowing that no matter what challenges or obstacles I face, I’ll face them head on and with my grandfather beside me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In life, some moments are super special, like graduations, families, quinceañeras, events, and weddings. Abigail Rodriguez Photography works to capture them all!

Wedding photos are extra special because they capture the start of a beautiful journey together. They show the promises made, the tears of joy, and the love that fills the air. From a bride and groom’s first kiss to a family reunion full of giggles, these photos help us remember the good times.

We’re most proud of our photos is how they make us feel. They bring back memories of laughter, hugs, and all the little things that make life worth it. They’re like a pause button in our fast-paced world, reminding us to cherish every moment. With us it’s never just the session with the photographer. When you choose us you get an unforgettable experience and timeless memories.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Whether you’ve just picked up your first camera or you’re eager to quit your boring 9 – 5 full time job, joining this creative journey can be thrilling. Here are 10 essential tips to help you kickstart your photography adventure and set you on the path to capturing stunning images.

Take the time to familiarize yourself with basic settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to more advanced functions. Experiment with different modes and settings to understand their effects on your photos.

2. Practice Consistently:
Make it a habit to shoot regularly, even if it’s just capturing everyday moments in your surroundings. The more you shoot, the more confident you’ll become behind the lens.
