Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Arvin.
Hi Alexis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love of makeup & story begins in high school. I always had a deep love for beauty & it grew when my mom started selling Mary Kay & I would take her samples to school & have friends lined up outside of the bathroom to do their makeup. Fast forward to a year before moving to Atlanta, I ran into a lady whose son played on the HBO show house of cards & she begged me to do her makeup & spoke life in my hobby stating that a friend of hers was Oprahs makeup artist & pushed me to pursue my craft full time. I moved to Atlanta, graduated from Health & Style Institute with a background in Esthetics & joined the Mac Cosmetics team to further my life path…the rest is history in the making!!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! Makeup started off as just a hobby of mine & it wasn’t until I kept getting a consistent message from the universe to pursue my craft full time. I then found Health and Style Institute & enrolled to explore esthetics deeper & shortly after being accepted, I found out I was pregnant with my now three years old baby girl! I ended up having to move away from Atlanta for a year after living here for three years & put my dream on hold. I was devasted but I continued to push forward. I’ve come along the way & while I still have a lot to accomplish, I’m so proud of myself for my resilience.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am currently a makeup artist & soon to be licensed esthetician. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come & impacting people’s lives when it comes to making women feel beautiful. Makeup is an art & being able to express that is truly fulfilling. In the near future, I hope to have my own spa/salon. I think what sets me apart from others is his deep my passion for beauty goes & being able to teach individuals the art behind it. I take pride in the service I provide & the experience I create!

People can work with me by just becoming my muse & trusting the process of my work. I love to help people look and feel beautiful for the most important moments of their lives!
