Rising Stars: Meet Alexis Jordan of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Jordan.

Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a child at the age of 10 I developed the love for freshly done hair. My hair had to be done everyday for school , not just “touched up”. In high school I would finish my work and curl other students hair in the science lab for $15. I applied to Paul Mitchell as a senior and graduated, completing the course to be a Master Cosmetologist. That was 7 years ago ….

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part it has been a smooth road. As a stylist you have your days , clients have their days . Some good some bad .

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I offer hairstyles based off my clients life style , moms , nurses , students , teachers , other artists/ stylists .

I specialize in “Side Part” installs. I’m known for my “baby hairs” , clean parts , & ability to blend any texture hair .

Im most proud of my growth and resilience as a stylist . No matter what I’m faced with in life I still show up and make my clients day better than mine .

What sets me apart from others I’ll say is my character. As a stylist this industry can be looked at as “competitive”. Every stylist I see who’s at the top , every new technique , I make that a goal for me to achieve.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was being stuck in a tree after watching my siblings climb up and jump down as if I could do the same. Even though I caused a whole scene bringing the fire department to help me, they were there with me til the end , just laughing .

Pricing:

  • SewIn Installs $200
  • Quickweave $150
