Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Ferreira
Hi Antonio, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Antonio. I’m a Firefighter/Paramedic for a city in the Metro Atlanta area. I also serve as a Swat Tactical Paramedic for the North Fulton cities.
My family and I immigrated to USA back in 2011, we lived in South Florida for approximately 8 years where we built our own business. Our own business wasn’t working anymore and that’s when we felt the need of a career change.
We moved to Georgia in 2018 and I started my new career as a Firefighter/Paramedic.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The obstacles were many. Many nights of study, staying away from family when I used to sleep at the firehouse due to the distance, long distance drives etc.
I still struggle with missing important dates due to my schedule. I also struggle with lack of sleep and sometimes the constant worry feeling that the job brings.

I’m a Firefighter/Paramedic and Swat Tactical Paramedic.
I’m proud of where I’m at due to the circumstances of where I came from. Also very proud of my wife for sticking with me all the way through.
