Rising Stars: Meet Audrey Jenkins of Social Circle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Jenkins.

Hi Audrey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My Pete’s Boutique – I will start by saying, the name itself means more to me anyone can ever truly understand. My dad wanted a boy SO bad and constantly rubbed my mom’s belly singing, “I wished I had a baby boy” and out came me! A whole girl haha “Pete” was a nickname he had called me ever since I can remember, and don’t you know, NOONE else was allowed to address me by that name. He would call and say “how’s my Pete?” And I was and have always been a daddy’s girl!

When I had my first son, he nicknamed him “repeat” my second was “three-pete” my third, we didn’t get much time to give him a nickname..my dad passed away from liver cancer very, very unexpectedly.

And “My Pete’s boutique” was born 🖤

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It comes with many trials and many, many thoughts of quitting.

Mainly the hardest thing for me is maintaining my printer. I didn’t start out with a sublimation printer, I converted one and that alone has been super tricky! I hope to one day upgrade my equipment!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I make custom t-shirts amount a few other things like mouse pads, car tags, etc. my volume is 100% in t-shirts. Bleached tees are extremely popular right now and a bulk of my orders are those as well!

I am most proud of where I am now and looking where I started. To say that something is “mine” and to know that I built it from the ground up is extremely humbling and I am extremely blessed with my customers who got me where I am.

What matters most to you? Why?
Family.

I often take breaks from working the boutique to get caught up so that I am able to spend more time with my family. I have three boys and my husband works a full-time job, so between school, sports, and everyday life I have to set things aside for family time.
